This policy explains the small files our website stores on your device, why we use them, and how you can choose which ones you allow.
1. What cookies are
1.1 Cookies are small text files a website saves on your device. Some are needed for the site to work. Others help us understand how it’s used. We use a similar technology called local storage for a couple of the same jobs, and this policy covers both.
2. What our website uses
2.1 Essential storage only. Our website doesn’t set any analytics or advertising cookies, so there’s nothing to accept or decline, and you won’t see a cookie banner.
2.2 Your questionnaire answers. When you fill in our questionnaire, your answers are saved in your browser’s local storage, so you can leave and pick up where you left off. They stay on your device, and are cleared once you send the questionnaire.
2.3 Your project hub and payments. If you become a client, your private project hub and our payment provider, Stripe, use essential cookies to keep you logged in and take payments securely. They don’t track you, and the law allows us to use them without asking.
2.4 We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t sell your data.
3. The cookies and storage we use
| Name | Type | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Questionnaire answers (local storage) | Essential | Saves your questionnaire answers on your device, so you don’t lose them | Until you send the questionnaire, or clear your browser |
| sb-* (Supabase) | Essential | Keeps you logged in to your private project hub | Until you log out, or up to 7 days |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Essential | Set by Stripe when you pay, to process payments securely and prevent fraud | 1 year, and 30 minutes |
4. Your choices
4.1 If we ever add analytics cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first with a banner, and update this policy.
4.2 You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you do, the questionnaire won’t remember your answers between visits, and your project hub may not work.
5. Other websites
5.1 Our website links to other sites, including the websites we’ve built for clients. They have their own cookie policies.
6. More about your data
6.1 Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data, and the rights you have. Questions? Email megan@trkdoutstudios.com.
7. Changes to this policy
7.1 If we add or change cookies, we’ll update this policy and the date at the top, and ask for your consent where needed.
